What the GOP Needs Right Now

With the Trump-Cruz and Bush-Christie wings of the GOP openly at war both on and off the campaign trail, the future of the party looks bleak at the moment. Figures respected in both camps, such as Speaker Paul Ryan and Senator Marco Rubio, are doing good work but fundamentally failing to unify the warring factions. This deepening split- which may well result in a third party bid by Donald Trump- stands against the relative placidity and unity of the left-drifting Democrats. If the split continues, the Democrats may well carry the election easily.
